An Experiment in Digital Creation

Digital Design Exercise

The focus of this project was the explore the possibilities of digital creation and fabrication. Fellow CPP student Alondra Delgado and I utilized Grasshopper coding and Rhino to create a bespoke digital sculpture utilizing bulbous, sharp, and rigid elements. We then created a randomly generated landscape utilizing Grasshopper and placed the sculpture within this landscape. This sculpture was brought to life through the use of laser cutting and 3d printing, allowing us to quickly and efficiently fabricate this complex and unique piece.
